If you’ve got nothing but fond memories of the plethora of licensed tie-in games from the noughties, rejoice. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead has been officially revealed by Saber Interactive, continuing the story told in the two horror movies from director John Krasinski and its upcoming prequel.

Developed by Stormind Games, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a first-person survival horror game due to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Details are still fairly slim plot-wise, but you play as a young woman surviving despite both the sound-sensitive creatures that wreaked havoc on civilization, and memories of deep interpersonal wounds with her family. As a plot-driven single-player game, you can expect both intense horror and character-driven narrative to occupy your time with the game.

Recently we’ve seen an anti-mobility sentiment emerge from the XDefiant fanbase. Things have become bad enough that players are blocking others who utilise these mechanics to avoid getting them in their games again.

A recent discussion on the XDefiant subreddit has shed light on the use of the game’s “block” feature. The main purpose of blocking is to prevent unwanted interactions with players. Some users are using it to manipulate the matchmaking system. “For the last 4 days, I’ve been blocking everyone who abuses the movement and now I’m starting to have fun balanced games”.

Salvation’s Edge went live on Friday 7 June, 2024 at 1 pm ET. Players quickly launched into the race to see if they would be the first to the finish. Upcoming sci-fi PVP FPS title Concord pits teams against each other as they attempt to complete a series of missions. May’s State of Play gave us our first glimpse of Concord’s intense gameplay, and we now know how much Concord will retail for.

Concord Confirmed to Release at $40

Concord is available for pre-order right now, and costs $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / ¥4,480 MSRP, according to PlayStation’s blog. This will give people 16 playable characters, 12 unique maps, and six different game modes. Following launch, the game will receive regular updates for all players, with no additional cost.

New Destiny 2 expansions and widespread server outages go hand-in-hand. With The Final Shape finally out now and gradually rolling out after 24 hours of downtime, a few lucky players are getting to experience the new content first-hand. Since the Urzikstan map was released for Warzone in late 2023, fans have been waiting for ranked to return. It was most recently mentioned in February in a blog post about Season 2 on the Call of Duty site. It was light on details; all it had to say was that it would come later this year. Call of Duty-focused outlet Charlie Intel shared in a tweet that Activision promised Ranked was still coming in a call with creators.
