Starfield boasts a charming feature: your trusty robotic companion, Vasco, can greet you by name. Fallout 4 players would remember Codsworth’s feature of remembering and pronouncing a player’s name. It’s a personal touch that adds immersion, especially after a long day of exploring the vast reaches of space.
But here’s the catch: Vasco, bless his metallic heart, isn’t exactly Shakespeare when it comes to vocabulary. He can only utter a select few names, a little over 1,000 according to dedicated players like andy24olivera who data-mined the game’s files. This limitation has led to some truly hilarious situations, with players discovering the wonderful (and sometimes frustrating) world of Vasco-approved names.
]]>Recently we’ve seen an anti-mobility sentiment emerge from the XDefiant fanbase. Things have become bad enough that players are blocking others who utilise these mechanics to avoid getting them in their games again.
A recent discussion on the XDefiant subreddit has shed light on the use of the game’s “block” feature. The main purpose of blocking is to prevent unwanted interactions with players. Some users are using it to manipulate the matchmaking system. “For the last 4 days, I’ve been blocking everyone who abuses the movement and now I’m starting to have fun balanced games”.
]]>The Witness and Winnower have been a long-running rumor and topic of discussion in the Destiny community for many years now. However, Bungie has finally confirmed that the Winnower is canon, and here’s all we know about it.

]]>With the success of Destiny 2’s The Final Shape, players are pretty excited for the upcoming Episode 1: Echoes season. Rumors of new stories, challenges, and a hidden jungle moon have generated a ton of excitement and The Final Shape has set the bar quite high for future seasons and expansions.
There is a lot of talk about how important The Final Shape has been for the game, but with it behind us, most are now concerned about the future of Destiny 2. Many believe that the first episode for Echoes needs to be the best season Destiny 2 has ever had.
]]>Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated DLC releases in recent memory. The trailer alone broke several records and garnered millions of views in mere minutes. However, what most people don’t realize is that the majority of Elden Ring’s players will not be able to play the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC… at least not immediately.
FromSoftware has revealed that in order to start the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you must interact with Miquella’s cocoon in Mohgwyn Palace. Sounds simple enough, right? That is until you remember that Miquella’s cocoon is guarded by one of the most formidable bosses in all of Elden Ring, Mohg the Lord of Blood.
]]>Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is just around the corner, and FromSoftware has revealed a ton of new information, especially with the release of footage from players who got to try it early. These play sessions have revealed several key components of the new DLC that warrant a ton of excitement. However, they’ve also produced some concerns that could be worrying for the overall quality of the DLC.
So to start off, I should preface this by saying that Shadow of the Erdtree is a $40 DLC. While FromSoftware is generally much better than its competitors at pricing and maintaining standards, even they are not immune from mistakes and questionable design choices. One of the biggest complaints leveled towards the insanely successful Elden Ring was the repetition of bosses in the base game.
]]>The latest chapter of Chainsaw Man is here and it proves once again how controversial of a writer Tatsuki Fujimoto really is. Fans of both the MCs for the show finally got to see them get together, albeit in the worst way possible. We’re going to go over the build-up to this moment, the sequence of events, what went down, and how people are reacting to Chainsaw Man Chapter 167. We’ll also go over whether it was Asa or Yoru who kissed Denji and why.
First off, we have the leadup for this chapter, with an extremely depressed Denji, reassembled after being surgically separated into bits and stuffed into boxes, trying to get over the potential death of his adoptive daughter/little sister Nayuta and their pet dogs. That’s a hell of a sentence and poor Denji has dealt with all this trauma in the span of a few short days. However, even now he can’t seem to get over his hormonal urges when offered a trip to the brothel by the Katana devil.
]]>Wuthering Waves had plenty of comparisons with Genshin Impact when it first released and we’ve all waited to see how it would differentiate itself. Now that the game is finally out, we can compare both games on an equal footing and see how they stack up. Despite all the similarities, here are some of the unique ways in which Wuthering Waves proves that it’s not just a Genshin Impact clone.
The Echo and Databank system incentivizes you to go out explore the world and face every type of enemy available. With each enemy defeated, you have a chance to absorb their Echo and you can then slot these echoes into your character builds for unique buffs. Not just that, these Echoes are unique and you can channel each of their abilities in battle, and even for traversal. This incentivizes fighting enemies a lot more as you want to keep collecting more Echoes and upgrading your existing ones.
]]>Kuro Games has basically confirmed that it will release a free 5-star selector ticket on 26th May 2024 following the release of Wuthering Waves.
Players who signed up early already have access to one free 5-star selector ticket, and now another will be coming their way shortly. This second ticket was released in response to all the negative player feedback after the buggy and seemingly rushed launch of Wuthering Waves.
]]>One of the most prominent complaints leveled at Chainsaw Man by fans and haters alike is that the pacing of Chainsaw Man Part 2 is too slow. Whether these are genuine complaints or just the weekly release devil at work, we’ll discuss both sides and analyze how Chainsaw Man Part 2 measures up to the first half of the story.
We won’t keep you waiting and doubt anyone would be surprised by this…but *drum roll* yes Chainsaw Man Part 2 is without a doubt slower than the first one. However, without jumping to conclusions, this is not as bad as it sounds and is no cause for alarm. In fact, Chainsaw Man Part 2 can be slow, but we can also be spoiled simultaneously. Those fans who got on the hype train after Chainsaw Man’s critical success have definitely been spoiled.
]]>After a successful release for the anime adaptation of the extremely popular Manhwa, Solo Leveling, we’re all eagerly awaiting the next part of Sung Jinwoo’s journey. On March 30, 2024, Crunchyroll confirmed that Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadow is set to release in the fourth quarter of 2024.
]]>Hades 2 is finally here, and it improves upon the extremely solid core foundation which made the first game so beloved. After over 40 hours of gameplay and all the bosses defeated, it’s time to go over what the Hades 2 experience is really like as it enters early access. There’s the old, the new, the mostly good, and some of the bad.
First, let’s get the good old stuff out of the way before diving into all the new content. The combat and gameplay follow the same loop as the previous game, where you clear chambers full of enemies, pick your next room, collect rewards, and move on ahead. Most of the Boon mechanics remain the same, and only a few new Gods are added to the game.
]]>Sand Land is a video game based on one of Akira Toriyama’s short mangas from way back in 2000. Not only did the manga receive this video game treatment, it recently got an anime adaptation that expanded the original story significantly.
This second half was written by Akira Toriyama himself before his unfortunate passing. While I’m a major Toriyama fan and his works have shaped many of my core experiences, going into Sand Land, I had no idea how much he was involved. It’s only recently that I’m learning about the actual origin of the manga. So despite my love for Toriyama-sensei, I don’t think it’s changed how I feel about Sand Land the video game. It’s an excellent game that’s held back by a barren desert of content.
]]>With a new contender on the block after so many years, many fans of the hero shooter genre are excited for a new game that can rival Overwatch. Overwatch has been in a bit of a slump and it’s the perfect time for a new game to take centre stage. However, Marvel Rivals needs to avoid and learn from these mistakes Overwatch 2 committed.
One of the biggest core factors that led to tons of controversial decisions such as forced roles and lengthy queue waiting times was the lack of Support and Tank players in Overwatch. They didn’t feel as good or rewarding as DPS characters and players ended up avoiding them altogether. Marvel Rivals needs to make their supports and tanks fun to play, so there isn’t a massive imbalance within the player base.
]]>Marvel Rivals is the latest entry into the genre of hero shooter titles and it’ll be available very soon. The game takes some clear inspiration from similar titles in the genre, such as Overwatch, but does it have enough personality to stand on its own two legs? Let’s go over 5 ways Marvel Rivals copies Overwatch and 5 ways it tries to be different.
When you take a cursory glance over what Marvel Rivals is trying to offer, it’s a 6v6 Hero Shooter game focused on PvP combat. The time to kill, the pace of combat, and the basic gameplay style are more or less similar.
]]>Dragon’s Dogma 2 is known for some pretty hardcore features when it comes to game progression and permanent decisions. It might feel bad to make a decision with a negative outcome, but the Load From Last Inn Rest has been causing an even worse issue for some unprepared players.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is committed to its single save file gameplay. It’s obvious that the developers are staunchly against save-scumming to the detriment of their own players. Nothing makes this more obvious than the Load From Last Inn Rest saving method.
]]>Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a modern title that’s on par with the most ambitious open-world games of the current generation while maintaining an experience that is reminiscent of older games. It’s sometimes janky, and other times just completely vague and confusing. But, figuring out this world and its puzzles is a key part of the experience.
Left on your own to figure out this massive world and its complex questlines with barely any handholding from the game. Characters will die, wrong decisions will be made, and at some points it will frustrate you. However, I can now say that all of this is necessary to truly enjoy Dragon’s Dogma 2.
]]>Akira Toriyama was one of the most beloved and influential authors and artists in the world. It’s no exaggeration that Shounen would not be what it is today without him. While many of us take these tropes for granted, they wouldn’t be what they are today without Toriyama’s influence. Today, we’ll be paying our respects to Akira Toriyama by covering the legacy of 9 Shounen tropes he popularized.
Let’s start with the heavy hitters. The Tournament Arc has become a staple of most modern Shounen, and sometimes, we get an anime that is just one huge tournament arc. The World Martial Arts Tournament from Dragon Ball can be considered the grandfather of all Tournament Arcs.
]]>Paul Atrides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen have finally made their way to Call of Duty MW3 and CoD Warzone. Dune 2 has finally hit the cinemas and it’s the perfect time for CoD to launch their skins for Thimothée Chalamet and Austin Butler. Let’s go over how to get the Dune Skins in MW3 & Warzone.
